Visual Studio 2008 Add-In

Problem: I love my Visual Studio and hate Alt+TAB! Please let me see all my tasks in VIsual Studio and track time right there!

Solution: Advice people to use dual monitors and open TargetProcess in one of them Provide Visual Studio Add-In with ToDo list and stop watch features.

We are continuing providing time savers features and improvements in TargetProcess. VS Add-In is a great time saver for .NET developers. All they want to have is ToDo list and painless time tracking. TargetProcess Visual Studio Add-In provides exactly that. You see ToDo list, may open assignments in browser if you need additional details and may close tasks right there.

Time fragmentation report is an icing for self-improvement process. The report clearly shows how fragmented your time is. Highly fragmented time is a sign of inefficiency/many interruptions/multitasking. You may analyze it and make some interesting conclusions.

TargetProcess Visual Studio Add-In released under open source license. You may modify it as you want to fit your specific needs.

Test Track Pro Integration Plugin

Problem: "We are using Test Track Pro and want to continue using it with TargetProcess".

Solution: Provide TestTrack integration plugin that allows to have bugs in TestTrack in sync with TargetProcess bugs.

Test Track Pro Integration Plugin imports all defects into TargetProcess real time. It powers bug tracking in Test Track Pro and Planning in TargetProcess, thus using the best and familiar tools for different activities. There is a direct linkage from bug in TargetProcess to bug in Test Track Pro.

Test Cases Prioritization

Problem: I want to change order of test cases in my test plans. In fact some test cases should be executed first.

Solution: Provide functionalty for test cases prioritization using drag and drop.

Now it is possible to order/prioritize test cases almost everywhere using simple drag and drop mechanism. You may specify the order in which the test cases should be run in test plans. You may set test case priority to better determine smoke/regression tests suites.

Quickly Add Tasks When Adding User Story

Problem: I often add user story and want to add some tasks quickly. In current version it takes too many page reloads and too much time.

Solution: Save people several hours per year providing an ability to add tasks with no page reloads.

Projects Prioritization

Problem: Some projects more inportant than other, I want to see that info in the system.

Solution: Provide drag and drop projects prioritization and give each project a Rank.

Improved Release Planning

Problem: I can't assign bugs to release in release plan. Is there any reason behind it? Also Release Plan in Program area looks great, while Release Plan in Project area is very slow.

Solution: Unify release planning in programs and projects and includ bugs into planning process.

Several improvements were made to release planning:

• New release planning added into project area.
• Bugs included into release plan and backlogs.
• You may change time scale for release plan usign Weeks or Months.
